Columbia House
Come clean …
Some of you here STILL owe Columbia House money on those CDs they sent you.
Columbia House was a music club that offered members a large number of CDs or tapes for a penny.
Columbia House was started in 1955 by Columbia Records as a way to sell vinyl records by mail order. The club adapted to new formats like cassettes, 8-tracks, and CDs. However, Columbia House stopped selling CDs in 2005 after being bought by BMG Direct and now operates as a DVD club.
